Anna Rose Lefrancois, 85, a proud, lifelong resident of Central Falls, RI, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023 at her home. Ann was born in Providence, RI to James and Anna (Devlin) McGurn on February 3, 1937. She went to high school at St. Xavier and graduated in 1954. She worked as a Shift Supervisor for Bancroft for many years. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. In the past couple of years, she’s enjoyed her time at the Lincoln Senior Center and YMCA.
Ann is survived by her sister, Mary Marrapese of Central Falls. Her four children, Joseph Lefrancois, Michael Lefrancois and his wife Alpha, Richard Lefrancois and his wife JoAnn, Susan (Lefrancois) Afonso and her husband Thomas. Ann has nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lefrancois, her long-time companion, John Unarie, and great grandson Micheal P. Lefrancois III.
Her funeral will begin at 9:30am on Wednesday, February 1st from Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral home service at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northern RI Collaborative Food Pantry.
